The K12 Writing Competition invites K–12th grade students to turn their ideas into powerful stories and celebrate their voices as writers. Open to all K12-powered students, the competition invites original submissions in three categories: poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. First-place winners in each category will be awarded $250, and their work will be published in a K12-branded student book. A People’s Choice winner will also be named in every grade level, highlighting the voices of writers across all ages. When students register, they also gain access to Strider’s Writers, an exclusive space in the K12 Zone. Here, they can share their work, connect with peers, and explore resources to inspire their craft. More than a contest, the K12 Writing Competition is a celebration of imagination, self-expression, and the power of words.
