Mrs. Opitz - Mrs. Opitz serves as the K-12 English Language Learner (ELL) teacher/coordinator for WYVA. She has taught in a variety of settings from elementary through university levels since she began teaching in 1993. She attended the University of Kansas, earning her bachelors in elementary education, her Masters in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), and an endorsement in teaching reading. She has also had the opportunity to travel abroad and teach English in the Czech Republic. Mrs. Opitz and her husband have 3 teenage children. She loves living in Star Valley, Wyoming and calling the mountains her home. Mrs. Larson - Mrs. Larson joined WYVA in 2012 and teaches physical education, health, and nutrition classes. She started teaching in 2007, formerly teaching P.E. in Arizona and wellness in Gillette, WY. She holds an Associate of Science degree in exercise science from Western Wyoming Community College and a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology from the University of Wyoming. In addition to endorsements in physical education and health, she also holds endorsements in virtual education and coaching for volleyball, basketball and track.
